well of course it would have been preferable to see this in nature, but i was awestruck none the less. they are amazing creatures and i spent a long time standing here, watching...pure art.

it would seem that i have a lot of photos to share from my time in the czech republic so i decided to make prague its own entry. it had been a long-time goal of mine to see that city and while the original impetus was to catch that buzz that was happening just post-communism, this visit was just a quick weekend of wandering and photos. i was a voyeur at best. which is my tendency.

this is the first time i have carved a pumpkin in...like...forever! i was a little reluctant at first, when folks in the house were calling it a 'contest', but once i started scraping out those guts.....

czech to austria to czech to austria...

autumn seems to be the time when i start to catch up on my life a little bit...and so this much-neglected blog is getting a much-needed shot of photos. i am going back a bit now and remembering my time in the Czech Republic and Austria. the photos were in some sort of chronological order which means they go back and forth between the 2 countries. i was there for a total of 5 weeks or so, and really back and forth and back and forth....
